ISASP standardized tests are scheduled to be given the week of April 19-23. Please refrain from making appointments that week if they can be scheduled another time.
Our Camp Foster field trip is scheduled for May 7. Watch for a slip to come home the week after spring break. This permission slip will need to be returned to school.

7th/8th grade chapel

Students are planning the chapel with the theme of "Obeying Authority" with Rev. DeBoer as our speaker. We will soon be lining up 7th/8th grade volunteers for instrumental and small group vocal numbers.

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year. This is the main source of communication to parents. Be sure to check the site each week for any update!
Cardboard Arcade
7th and 8th-graders will be holding a cardboard arcade for the K-6 classes on Friday from 12:30-3:00. Parents are welcome to pop into the gym during that time to see the end results of the students' 2020 Engineering Design Projects.
Friday Life Skills Lesson / Homemade Stromboli Lunch
Please send your students to school with $2 by Wednesday that will be used to buy ingredients for stromboli, and each student can make a personalized stromboli. We'll let the dough rise throughout the morning and cook the stromboli for lunch.
I also plan to show them how simple it is to turn the dough into cinnamon rolls (among other things), and maybe we can have cinnamon rolls for an afternoon snack.
Friday-Sandy Hollow
Friday from 10:30 -11:30 AM the 7th grade class will be going to Sandy Hollow. Sunday Ford will give us the second part of our gun safety lesson.
Interscholastics Speech-Monday, Oct. 28
Students were sent home last week with the Monday Interscholastics Speech schedule. The event will be held at Rock Valley Christian School.
