7th/8th Chapel

7th/8th chapel is scheduled for 8:45 AM, September 15, at Hull Protestant Reformed Church.

This chapel is planned by students and many students volunteered to do special numbers.

We are especially grateful for those who volunteered to be involved in extra ways, whether it be with scripture reading, singing a quartet, preludes, postludes, piano accompaniment, or instrumental special numbers .

Camp Foster May 5

Parents, a permission slip came home with your child for our field trip. Please fill it out and send that and the payment of $20 to school by the first week of May (note: the bottom of the slip had the amount wrong). Feel free to Venmo me the $20 instead, if that works better for you.

Notice: ISASP testing

ISASP testing will be held the week of April 17-21. Parents, please avoid making appointments during school hours that week, if possible.

8th Grade Dordt Research

Eighth grade students went to Dordt library to find materials for their term papers.

Bye Bye Brief Class Pet

7th/8th had a baby garter snake as a class pet for a few days before it expired. Did their request to each have it at their desk the other day traumatized it, or weren't dried bugs sufficient nutrition, or did it die of a broken heart or foul play?
In poetry we recently learned about eulogies, so we wrote the following tribute to Mr. Slither.

An Ode to Mr. Slither

With us a short time

Touched our lives

Skinny as a dime

Avoided Vern's knives

From depths of basement

Came to the light

Who is the replacement?

Died in the night

All alone?

Gave life a good fight

Shall we clone?

Math Scavenger Hunt with Avery

Friday for our math lesson, Avery planned a Symmetry Around School scavenger hunt for the 7th grade students. It looked like a lot of fun!
