Friday Nov. 3 Belated Cookbook Party🎉

Seventh grade students are planning their cookbook party (from their 3rd grade cookbook) for Friday, November 3. They are welcome to spend time on Thursday or Friday prepping food at school. They won't need to take a lunch on Friday.

If any of the parents/students need help grocery shopping or with prep of their items, feel free to contact me.

Dronology

Eighth grade students constructed drones and are in the process of attempting to fly them. Last week one group was able to achieve flight, and today a second group did as well. Here are a couple of videos of Cody, Paula, and Hadley’s drone in flight today.

Medical Lab Tech Presentation

Mr. Daniel Kooiker gave us a presentation on the Med Lab Tech profession. He is getting his degree in this field. He had students perform an experiment testing for glucose in two solutions.

Engineering Tomorrow-7th grade bridge building

The bridges were able to support 10 to 29 lbs of rocks. They were sturdy.

Packets to order school pictures will come home wit some students this week. Only one packet will come home per family this year since a majority of those who order do so online. If you would like additional physical order forms, feel free to contact the office.

Speech and Piano Interscholastics

Speech interscholastics is to be held at Rock Valley Christian School on Monday, October 23. Our school will hold the preview ahead of that evening, and that preview night (which is held before the Interscholastics at RVCS) includes piano with the speeches

Field Trip

7th and 8th graders are scheduled to visit Yesterday's Memories in Sanborn the morning of September 27. We plan to take a bus, leaving around 9:00, and returning around noon.

7th/8th Chapel

7th/8th chapel is scheduled for 8:45 AM, September 15, at Hull Protestant Reformed Church.

This chapel is planned by students and many students volunteered to do special numbers.

We are especially grateful for those who volunteered to be involved in extra ways, whether it be with scripture reading, singing a quartet, preludes, postludes, piano accompaniment, or instrumental special numbers .
